Weekly markets in Vorarlberg

Strolling through markets is a treat for the eyes, nose and palate.
It’s a good thing that almost every day of the week is market day in Vorarlberg. Bludenz starts on Monday, Tuesday is market day in Bregenz and Feldkirch, followed by Dornbirn on Wednesday and Hohenems on Thursday. On Saturday you are spoiled for choice. In the summer months, it is worth visiting the markets in the Bregenzerwald (Thursday and Friday), the Kleinwalsertal (Friday) or Schruns in the Montafon (Thursday).

Weekly markets in Vorarlberg

01 “Our market”, Feldkirch

The weekly market is held on Tuesday and Saturday mornings in the medieval town centre with its arcades. Fruit and vegetable growers from Feldkirch and the surrounding area offer lovingly planted, nurtured and freshly harvested produce. Products from various direct marketers such as fresh fish, local cheese and the finest delicacies from Italy and France round off the selection. In summer there is a farmers’ market twice a month on Saturdays.

02 Bregenz weekly market

Fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, freshly caught fish from Lake Constance, bread and flowers are available every Tuesday and Friday from the 35 market traders at Bregenz’s weekly market on Kornmarktplatz square and in lower Kaiserstrasse. Several cafés on the square invite you to linger. If you feel like it, you can combine a stroll through the market with a visit to the Vorarlberg Museum or Kunsthaus Bregenz.

03 Dornbirn weekly market

Every Wednesday and Saturday from 8am to 12 noon, the town’s most central square in front of the mighty parish church is transformed into a colorful marketplace for food from agricultural production, all kinds of specialties, flowers and seedlings. On some Saturdays there are also side events, e.g. the flower market, pottery market, bicycle market, …

04 Hohenems weekly market

In the Rheintal market calendar, it’s Hohenems’ turn on Thursday morning. On Schlossplatz in front of the Renaissance palace, the weekly market offers fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and sausages, flowers and plants. The surrounding restaurants and the steps to the Emsbach invite you to take a break after shopping.

05 Bludenz weekly market

The alpine town of Bludenz offers a colourful variety of markets three days a week. On Wednesdays from 8 am to 4 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to 12 noon, the Stadt & Landmarkt invites you to Bludenz’s old town with fresh, regional goods at traditional market stalls. On Mondays, the Krämer- & Wochenmarkt from 8 am to 5 pm attracts visitors with fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as clothing and all kinds of odds and ends.

06 Weekly markets in Bregenzerwald and Montafon

From the beginning of June to mid-October, Friday mornings are market day in Bezau in the Bregenzerwald. What makes this market on the village square so special are the regional producers and traders who run the market. And what they offer is also special: high-quality products, some of which are only available on Fridays. There are also special themed events on some dates.
The weekly market in Egg takes place every Thursday in the summer months from 3 – 6 pm.
The “Buramarkt” on the church square in Schruns takes place every Thursday from the beginning of June to the end of September.
