Up above, the village of wooden houses, steep ridges, slopes and inviting passageways below seems like a fairy-tale landscape: This is wintertime in Austria’s westernmost province. From dramatic vantage points, enjoy unobstructed views towards a pristine mountain world. Here there is plenty of space for a mix of gentle and more challenging slopes.
Inviting ski slopes and ridges – everything is covered in white. Ascending with the cable car is every bit as enjoyable as descending on skis along optimally groomed slopes.
Vorarlberg is a land of skiers and skiing with a storied history and a contemporary vibe. Ski resorts with guaranteed snow range from 1,400 m to 2,400 m elevation. The views are incredible everywhere you travel in this landscape of superlatives that features a mixture of gentle ridges and rugged landscapes at higher elevations. Here there is plenty of space for ski slopes tailored to every level of ability, as well as ski resorts with both groomed slopes and backcountry areas.
