Seven Summits Week (Stage 2 of 4)

Even in the 4-day version, the Seven Summits lose none of their appeal or challenge. The four stages add up to a 65-kilometer hiking route. A truly dreamlike loop high up in the Bregenzerwald and Arlberg region, featuring peaks, mountain lakes, stops at mountain huts, and spectacular views.

Between the church and the Schröcken Tourist Office, follow the municipal road to the right, past the old Hotel Mohnenfluh, along the farm road to Alpe Felle. After passing Alpe Felle, continue along the trail to the fork; there, keep left and walk along the Butzenloch to Butzensee.

Tip: Lake Butzensee is perfect for a refreshing dip!

Once you reach Butzensee, turn right and follow the trail over the Braunarlscharte to the Braunarlspitze. Once you reach the Braunarlspitze, you can enjoy the fantastic view.

The trail then continues along the ridge until just before the Sattelkopf. At the next intersection, turn right. At the next intersection, you’ll rejoin the trail you took at the start of the tour. Turn left and follow the trail past the Alpe Felle to Schröcken. 

Stage 1: Mohnenfluh – Juppenspitze (Hiking time: 9 ½ hours)

Stage 2: Braunarlspitze (Hiking time: 8 hours)

Stage 3: Hochkünzelspitze – Rothorn – Hochberg (Walking time: 12 hours)

Etappe 4: Höferspitze (Walking time: 4 hours)
