Hike up from the Hohe Rad and a stop at the Wiesbadener Hütte

A challenging high-alpine loop hike from the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe to the Hohe Rad at 2,934 meters, which rewards you with sweeping views of the Silvretta and a stop at the Wiesbadener Hütte.

From the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe, you’ll first hike toward the Bieltal valley and ascend via a narrow, rocky trail—which is only sparsely marked in its upper section—to the Radschulter, from where you’ll reach the summit of the Hoher Rad. Back at the Radschulter, the trail takes you over the Radsattel to the Wiesbadener Hütte and then down through the Ochsental to Lake Silvretta. The hike is classified as difficult and requires sure-footedness, a head for heights, and alpine experience.
