- Children's hike: Hiking between cow & Co.
This hike is a real insider tip that only exists in summer. On the green meadows along the way you can see all the animals that the Junior already knows from the picture book - and that up close!
Let’s start, for example, at the Panoramaweg above Hirschegg. Here you can soon see some horses grazing in the paddock. If you cross the Schwarzesertalstrasse after the Parsenn lift, you will reach a nice footpath, the Brennbodenweg. From here follow the signs to the natural bridge, where you can see lots of sheep, goats and cows. From the starting point, you can count on about 1 ½ hours including “observation and stamor addition”. If you continue on the mahdtalweg, the first rest stops are reached about half an hour later. If you want to continue towards the center of Riezlern, a surprise awaits you for the brave: a (very well-fortified) suspension bridge over the Breitach!
On hot days you should take a 10-minute detour for a dip in the water-filled boiler holes.

Leave the car where it is!
The Walserbus is a convenient way to reach your starting point. Line 1 takes you to the village Riezlern. For this tour you need to get off at the bus stop “Riezlern Post”.
Most routes from Germany lead to Ulm before carrying on along the A7. Take the Allgäu junction over a section of the A980 to the Waltenhofen junction, then take the 4- lane B19 via Sonthofen and Oberstdorf to Kleinwalsertal. From Austria (Vorarlberg) and Switzerland you reach the Kleinwalsertal via the Bregenzerwald (Hittisau) – Riedbergpass – Fischen – Oberstdorf. From Tyrol the fastest route is over the A7 to Kempten carrying on along the B19 direction Oberstdorf. A motorway vignette is not required to reach the valley.
