Pfarrhaus in Mittelberg

Factbox

  • With the parish census in 1391, a pastor came to Mittelberg. In 1436, Johann Zugber appears as the first named pastor on. Whether this addition to the construction of the parish church in 1463 also erected a rectory remains open. However, the court master Georg Hilbrand confirmed in 1488 that the pastor may use the Widum at the church and house. Accordingly, at this time already stood a rectory. Its location – northwest of the church – but was in the catchment area of the Heuberglawine, which represented a permanent danger to the church and rectory. In 1640 she first destroyed the rectory. After the reconstruction, however, only a few decades passed, until in December 1693, once again, a huge avalanche discharge completely demolished the rectory and even penetrated into the church. This event forced the Mittelberg to action. They decided to relocate the site and built in 1694 the rectory at its present location.
