Canyoning tours in Vorarlberg

The allure of canyoning has to be experienced to be believed: The power of water, the tug of the current, natural slides and jumps into crystal clear pools, abseiling over thundering waterfalls, and adventure in a fascinating, otherwise inaccessible natural landscape! Quench your thirst for adventure, but beware, a healthy dose of courage is required at every twist and turn! The gorges near Dornbirn (Kobelach/Merlins World and Kangaroo-Jump, Rudach) are amongst the most beautiful canyoning areas in Austria. What’s more, canyoning tours are offered for both beginners and the advanced. Please note: For some providers, a minimum number of participants is required.

State-certified guides conduct all canyoning tours. Participants are provided with all the necessary equipment such as wetsuits and safety equipment.
Requirements: Ability to swim, a sense of adventure, and a love for the great outdoors

White water swimming in Lech

Over the millennia, the Lech River, which originates near Lech am Arlberg and flows into the Danube after 264 km, has formed a 6 km gorge between Lech and Warth. From above, this secretive section can hardly be seen. Swimming enthusiasts can drift and float through the raging torrents where the Widderstein Alpine School offers guided and supervised swimming excursions every Thursday. Participation, including wetsuit, helmet and life jacket costs 60 euros per person.

Hydro Speed: The raw power of water for pure action

Hydro Speed is a whitewater sport in which the upper part of the body rests upon a special floatation device that is propelled downstream with the current through whitewater.

The Arlberg Alpin team offers guided Hydro Speed Tours in and around Lech.
