    The Bike & Hike tour leads to the impressive Roggelskopf at 2,284 meters above sea level.

    A summit tour to the striking Roggelskopf is definitely worthwhile. The ascent is only recommended for hikers who are free from giddiness and experienced.

    Good shoes (ankle high, profiled sole), rain protection, Lech Card and bus schedule.

  • Directions

    Bike: By bike from Lech to Zug and further along the asphalt road past the Gasthaus Älpele to the Formarinsee and further along the gravel path to the Freiburger Hütte.

    Hike: From the Freiburger Hütte, head west over alpine meadows on the Masonweg, along the ridge below the Gwurfjoch. It follows a crossing over a gravel field to the foot of the mountain. Steep ascent to the summit, partly with rope protection over easy climbing sections up to the summit. Sure-footedness and a head for heights required – mountain guide recommended! Return on the same route.

    Bike: Return to Lech on the same route.

  • Public transportation:

    Take the train to the train station Langen am Arlberg or St. Anton am Arlberg. From there, buses (no. 750+760) run at regular intervals to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

    Approach:

    From Germany: Take the A 96 to Bregenz, from there take the A14 to Bludenz, continue on the S16 to the Lech Zürs am Arlberg exit. Take the B197 through Stuben over the serpentines to the Flexengalerie and over the Flexenpass to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

    From Switzerland: Via the A13 and the border crossing at Feldkirch, Hohenems or Lustenau on the A14 to Bludenz. Continue on the S16 to the Lech Zürs am Arlberg exit. Take the B197 through Stuben over the serpentines to the Flexengalerie and over the Flexenpass to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

    From Austria: Via the Inntal motorway A12 and further via the S16 to the exit St. Anton am Arlberg (Arlbergpass). Follow the B197 first through St. Anton, then through St. Christoph and over the Arlbergpass to Alpe Rauz. Here turn right onto the B198. Through the Flexengalerie and over the Flexenpass you reach Lech Zürs am Arlberg.
