Ice climbing

Keen for a challenge that’s as tough as nails? Look no further than an adventure in Montafon! When winter weather conditions are at their best, local mountain guides will introduce interested participants to the fine art of ice climbing. The programme includes a theoretical introduction followed by practical experience. Technical equipment is provided.

On the north side of the Rätikon mountain, the Brandnertal valley is the one of western Austria’s best places for ice climbing. More than 30 ice and mixed routes, from easy to extremely difficult, are located in this compact area.

Professional outdoor operators and alpine schools in Vorarlberg offer a wide range of sports. Programs can be booked for individuals, groups/teams, or even corporate training sessions.

Legal regulations ensure the highest possible level of safety, not least through the mandatory training required of outdoor sports providers. Specific regulations ensure that nature and the environment are treated with care.
