    Description

    The Holdamoos natural experience illustratres 440 years of alp history. A “Vorsäßhütte” – a mountain pasture hut – dating back 440 years and still in tis original condition, a suspension bridge, a small lake and a herb garden boastin over 150 different herbs lie in the middle of the cultivated, natural landscape. This is a gentle ramble on wide paths along the Bregenzerache and through the settled region of Au.

    Description

    The Fohramoos, a high moorland with bog forests and a small artificial lake, stretches across the Bödele above Schwarzenberg. Birch, pine and upright growing mountain pine provide shade on hot days. It’s quite possible to see frogs and dragonflies along the way.

    This circular hike leads from the Schwende over the national border towards Osterberg and along the Breitach back to the starting point. The hike offers a unique landscape with raised bogs and nutrient-poor meadows as well as wonderful panoramic views.
