Höhenprofil
The Gauertaler AlpkulTour is a themed path with installations by the artist Roland Haas. They show unusual insights into the ways of life and work in Montafon, such as alpine culture and three-level agriculture. From the mountain station Grüneck, it goes comfortably towards the limestone massifs of the Rätikon. After the Lindauer Hütte, the path leads through the Gauertal Maißsäß landscape to Latschau.
An artistically staged themed path with 13 locations has been created, offering unusual insights. At these locations you will encounter unexpected objects designed by the Montafon artist Roland Haas. These sculptures invite you to marvel, wonder, and reflect on ways of life and work and at the same time tell stories from Montafon and alpine culture. QR codes and “Muntafuner Originals” help you with that. (Scan QR codes and load the map onto your phone)

Directions
With the Golmerbahn you already overcome the first elevation meters from Latschau to the mountain station Grüneck at 1,890 meters above sea level. You can take the first break at the Berghof Golm. From there it goes briefly uphill. At the fork, follow the path to the Latschätzalpe. The hike initially leads gently up and down. The duration is about 1 hour. At the Latschätzalpe you have another opportunity to take a break. Here, alongside butter and mountain cheese, the traditional Montafon “Sura Kees” is produced. In this area you can observe marmots. From the Sennalpe you hike on a slightly ascending but short section, first slightly uphill, then in gentle ups and downs on the last stretch to the Lindauer Hütte. The Lindauer Hütte is located at the foot of the famous Drei Türme, the so-called landmark in Montafon and distinctive mountain peaks in the Rätikon. After a refreshment, it is worth visiting the botanical alpine garden located right next to it. On 3,000 m² you can explore native flora and plant communities in Vorarlberg. After that, the descent begins. You hike through the Gauertal via the Lower Spora and Latschätzalpe. After about 3/4 of the route, a stop can still be made at the Gauertalhaus. After that it is not far and you reach the Golmerbahn in Latschau after just over half an hour.
