A rather easy via ferrata that is unique in this form in Vorarlberg.

Due to construction work on the Silvretta High Alpine Road on the Vorarlberg side, there can be occasional closures – please consider this in your route planning.

Surrounded by the highest mountains of Vorarlberg, this via ferrata is located directly at the dam wall of Silvrettasee. When conquering the almost vertical wall, you can expect scenic seating benches, rope bridges, and a twelve-meter-long swing pendulum that can also be bypassed. If you have mastered all challenges with difficulty grade A/B, you exit directly on the dam crest via a platform. There you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of Piz Buin.

Approach: You start at the Silvrettasee parking lot. A hiking trail leads you from there in about 15 minutes to the foot of the dam, where the entry point is located.

Alternatively, you can also approach the dam directly from Madlenerhaus.

Descent: The exit is via a small but spectacular platform on the dam crest. From there it is another five minutes’ walk to the starting point.

The seating benches in the wall are perfect for enjoying the unique panorama in peace. Besides the via ferrata, the dam offers various climbing routes that are perfect for practicing multi-pitch tours.
