-
Höhenprofil
The Seven Summits Weekend is a treat for both experienced hikers and trail runners. This challenging 2-day tour is no walk in the park—the seven peaks require hard work to conquer over long stages.
Expect the 28-kilometer hike to take about 13½ hours. The Seven Summits Weekend is a particular challenge for ambitious trail runners, offering many scenic highlights and varied trails—on the second day, you’ll climb three peaks.
Between the church and the Schröcken tourist office, follow the municipal road to the right, past the old Hotel Mohnenfluh, along the farm road to Alpe Felle. After passing Alpe Felle, continue along the trail to the fork; there, keep left and continue along the Butzenloch to Butzensee.
Tip: Lake Butzensee is perfect for a refreshing dip!
Passing Lake Butzen, continue toward Mohnensattel. From Mohnensattel, you’ll reach Mohnenfluh, the first peak of the tour. Then head back down the ascent trail to the Mohnensattel. There, turn left and walk past the Rotschrofenbahn mountain station. After passing the Rotschrofenbahn mountain station, turn left. From there, the trail continues to the Juppenspitze. After enjoying the wonderful view, head back down the ascent trail toward the Rotschrofenbahn mountain station.
At the intersection, turn left and follow the trail past the Obere Gaisbühelalpe, under the Auenfeld-Jet, and past the Untere Gaisbühelalpe. Then continue along the trail across the Auenfeld, past the Salobersattel, to the parking lot at the Salober-Jet valley station. From there, follow the main road toward Warth until, at the Hochtannberg Pass, the trail continues on the opposite side of the road.
From there, the trail leads uphill to the left along the Krumbach. Continuing along the trail, you’ll walk along the ridge toward the Höferspitze, enjoying breathtaking views. Once you reach the Höferspitze, you can take in the panoramic views. After a well-deserved break, follow the hiking trail toward Neßlegg.
At the next intersection, turn left and continue walking toward Neßlegg. Once you reach Neßlegg, walk to the main road. On the main road, walk a few meters downhill to the end of Neßlegg. Before the bridge, a path leads to the right along the old federal highway to Schröcken, your starting point.
