The starting point for this tour is the Hochtannberg Pass. To the right of the Salober-Jet valley station, a wide farm road leads over the Salobersattel into Auenfeld.

Passing the Auenfelder Hut, the route continues toward Lech to the Gaisbühelalpe. There you can park your bike; the tour now continues on foot.

Follow the trail past the Rotschrofenbahn mountain station. Continuing uphill, you’ll cross the Mohnensattel. From there, you can already admire the Butzensee.

Tip: The Butzensee is perfect for a refreshing dip!

Then take the ascent trail back to where you left your bike. The trail now leads back along the Auenfeld to Schröcken.

Note: The tour can also be started from Schröcken. Start from the village center and ride along the municipal road between the church and the tourist office. At a sharp left-hand curve, turn right and follow the farm road into the Auenfeld.

Important note: Bring a bike lock and lock up your bike.
