Variety in the Mountain World of Lech
-
Höhenprofil
This three-day tour, the stages of which can be undertaken individually of course, runs from the Rüfikopf via the Monzabonalpe and the Pazüelmähder down to Zürs. From there it ascends again to Zürersee and Madlochjoch. Passing the Stierlochkopf (modern bivouac hut where you can spend the night), you continue on down the Madloch to Zug. From there you ascend steeply again to the Balmalpe on the Balmengrat, which is ringed by 4 of the iron sculptures. The last part of the trail passes below the Kriegerhorn via the Kriegeralpe and Oberlech back to the village centre, thus closing the circle.
The ‘Grüne Ring’ (Green Ring) is a hiking trail full of secrets and mysterious beings. The writer Daniela Egger has knitted together existing legends and modern tales in her literary walking guide. She intriguingly explains the field and peak names of the mountain world around Lech and guides the walker to and through Daniel Nikolaus Kocher’s installations carefully installed along the route. Rest benches and dramatizations help visitors to sharpen their gaze for the transient in-between worlds. (Book in German only)
