  • Directions

    A very varied high mountain hike (over three peaks) for experienced, sure-footed, and fearless persons. The route starts after a comfortable ride with the Versettla Bahn with a steep ascent to Versettla, then continues to the summit of Madrisella. Then it goes along the ridge to the Matschuner Joch past very beautiful, inviting mountain lakes. Via Kuchenberg, Vorderberg you reach Mittelberg Joch. After a descent over impressive rock falls, you arrive after approx. 5 hours at the Tübinger Hut. From the Tübinger Hut you hike through the beautiful Ganeratal and Ganeu back to Gaschurn. Even very fit hikers should allow up to 9 hours of walking time. The hike is very impressive and varied.

    Regional buses run throughout Montafon. The main lines depart every half hour from Schruns station.

    Arrival by train to Montafon

    From Bludenz station, the Montafon railway runs hourly (partly every half hour). There are also direct connections from Lindau (DE) and Bregenz.

    Approach:

    Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to Gaschurn.
