Swing trail | Fontanella-Faschina

Höhenprofil
Swing hike in the Großes Walsertal: two swings, two special places. From Faschina to Seewaldsee lake, you can experience the biosphere park from new perspectives - while swinging, enjoying and hiking.
This route combines two special swinging spots in the Großes Walsertal valley into a varied hike. The first swing is located in Faschina on the Hahnenköpfle, near the middle station of the Staffelalpbahn cable car, which can be reached on foot or by cable car. There you can enjoy a wide view at lofty heights. The trail continues via the Franz-Josef-Hütte, which invites you to take a break, and past the Staffelalpsee lake back to Faschina. From here, the trail leads via the Zafernmaisäß and the quietly situated Bärenalpe down to the Seewaldsee lake. Above the lake, the second swing awaits – a place to pause and let your gaze wander into the valley. In between, quiet forests, wide alpine meadows and impressive panoramas alternate. The hike offers space for relaxed breaks as well as sporting ambitions and combines exercise with special moments above the Walser Valley. After the hike, you can either take the bus from Fontanella-Säge back to the Faschinajoch or follow the hiking trail.
