Klostertaler Umwelthütte Route 2026
-
Höhenprofil
A classic bike-and-hike tour in the beautiful Silvretta region — great high-altitude hikes available
The Silvretta Mountains include a number of peaks over 3,000 meters high, as well as a variety of smaller and larger glaciers.
A Bike & Hike tour to the Klostertaler Umwelthütte can significantly shorten mountain and climbing tours.
Starting from St. Gallenkirch, follow the bike path all the way to Partenen. From here, the route leads over the Ganifer to Kopssee, continues toward Galtür, and follows the Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße to Silvrettasee. Then the trail takes you along the left bank, under the Bielerdamm, to the Klostertaler Umwelthütte. Take the same route back to St. Gallenkirch.
Note: Cycling along the lake shore is only permitted on the east side up to the entrance to the Klostertal. However, it should generally be avoided between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., as there are many hikers in the area at that time. Pedestrians and hikers always have the right of way.
This route is valid during the closure of the Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße from summer 2026 to 2030.
