From the Obere Sporaalp to the Geißspitze (Bike and Hike)

The scenic hike from the "Obere Sporaalp" to the "Geißspitze" (2,334 m) leads through a quiet, alpine landscape and opens up an impressive panorama over the Montafon.

You can comfortably reach the starting point of this route by bike. At the Bike & Hike stand (only during the alpine season) at the Upper Sporaalp, you can securely park your bike and continue hiking on foot from here.

The ascent to the Geißspitze leads over a serpentine path through the mountain landscape of the Rätikon. In zigzags, you gain height relatively quickly, while step by step an impressive panoramic view of some of the most striking peaks of the Montafon opens up to you.

The return follows the same path and initially leads back through rocky, later lush green terrain to the Sporaalp. Surefootedness is especially required after rain – the path can quickly become slippery then. Good footwear with a grippy sole is absolutely recommended.

At the Sporaalp you can refresh yourself with a cool drink – and with a bit of luck, you can even get a taste of the traditional "Sura Kees," which has been produced here for generations.
