    Beautiful, panoramic trip along a freight trail with an ascent to the Lug and back through the Argenvorsäß alpine settlement.

    A freight trail leads from Au through the shady forest up to the beautifully located Godlachen and Brendler alps and then on to the Säckelalpe. Above the Säckelalpe, the route takes cyclists to the highest point of the trip (1,767 m) at the Lug mountain ridge.

    This trip includes an ascent over a short distance of more than 1,100 metres, which makes this tour challenging. A freight trail on the west side of the mountain ridge leads down to the Argenvorsäß, a typical Bregenzerwald alpine settlement that features several huts and a chapel. The trip back to the centre of Au takes a well-built forest path above the Argen Gorge.
