5-day tour in the Rätikon with overnight stay in huts
Stage 1
From Brand, either walk or take the cable car to the Dorfbahn mountain station. Then follow the Palüdweg to the Amatschonjoch. Now follow the Rätikon High Trail North to Nenzinger Himmel, where the Alpengasthof Gamperdona awaits you with delicious alpine products.
Duration: approx. 5:40 hours

From Nenzinger Himmel, a path leads to Spusagang-Scharte and on via Straußsteig to Mannheimer Hütte, the second overnight stop.
Duration: approx. 4:50 hours
Overnight stay: Mannheimer hutStage 3
From the Mannheimer Hütte, an alpine trail leads over the Brandner Gletscher (glacier) to the Schesaplana. The descent is via the Totalp Hütte to lake Lünersee. The Douglass Hütte is located on the shore of the reservoir.
Duration: approx. 3:10 hours
Overnight stay: Douglass hutStage 4
From the Douglass Hütte, turn left over the dam wall up to the Lünerkrinne. From there along the Lünerweg and Gipsköpfleweg to the Heinrich-Hueter Hütte and on along the Zimbajochsteig to the Sarotla Hütte, the fourth overnight stop.
Duration: approx. 4:25 hours
Overnight stay: Sarotla hutStage 5
From the Sarotla Hütte through the Sarotla valley out of the valley to Brand.
Duration: approx. 1:30 hours.We recommend sure-footedness, a head for heights, and alpine experience. This tour is not recommended in wet conditions or if there are still snowfields below the Zimbajoch. You can divide the ascent per day and hours according to the weather and your needs. The times given are approximate. Depending on fitness, weather conditions or other circumstances, the walking time may be shorter or longer.
