2-Day Tour of Lake Formarin (Stage 1) | Braz

Stage 1 of this variedtwo-day tourin the Lechquellengebirge mountains, featuring stunning views and a visit to one of Austria’s most beautiful spots—Lake Formarin.

You begin the hike inAußerbraz at theAlpen.Spa.Golf.Hotel Traube Braz, from where you follow theMason Trail. The trail zigzags steeply through the forest until you reach the scenic alpine meadows of the Mason Alpe. With the Roggelskopf always in view, the trail continues toward the Gwurfjoch and the Freiburger Hütte. Behind the hut, a stunning view opens up of the famous high-mountain lake, the Formarinsee. At theFreiburger Hütte, you can enjoy authentic Alpine cuisine, fresh air, and a fantastic sunny atmosphere. The hut offers both dormitory-style sleeping quarters and private rooms—reservations are requested.
