The craftsmanship and tradition of the Bregenzerwald region have clearly left an impression on Smiljan Radic, as shown by his design that relocates the cosy intimacy of a parlour to the exposed setting of a bus stop. In transporting this miniature parlour to the great outdoors, he presents a familiar interior in a radical new context. His intricately detailed glass pavilion features a cassette ceiling made from black concrete and a pair of rustic wooden chairs. In a playful flourish, Radic has also installed a birdhouse as both an eye-catching addition and a pleasant diversion.
