  • The Silvretta Ski Safari is a mesmerizing journey through the snow from Montafon to the Paznauntal valley in neighbouring Tirol, which you can undertake individually or accompanied by a ski guide. The tour starts in the early morning in Partenen. After a ride up on Vermuntbahn, you take the tunnel bus to Bielerhöhe heights and the Silvretta reservoir. Then descend to Galtür, followed by a transfer on a snow cat up to Zeinisjoch. The culminating highlight is the descent down to Partenen.
The guided ski safari can be booked along with some theory about avalanches. silvretta-bielerhoehe.at/en
  • Madrisa Circuit Switzerland and back: this guided border–crossing, technically undemanding day tour takes skiers from Gargellen/ Montafon to Switzerland and back. During the seven-hour tour, skiers and snowboarders will marvel at stunning natural scenery and enjoy fantastic descents on varied slopes. Avalanche gear is required and can be rented on site. to the registration
  • The Ski Safari Kleinwalsertal starts with a ride up on the Ifenbahn cableway. After mounting to Hahnenköpfle you will take the long descent to Schönenbach in Bregenzerwald. On the skidoo you head to Bizau, and by taxi to Hochkrumbach. The last ascent will take you to Widdersteinhütte, before descending to Gemsteltal or Bärgunttal. This demanding safari requires safe skiing in open terrain and – weather permitting – will be run even for one person. The price is EUR 280 per person, and EUR 90 per person for groups of 3 persons or more. www.bergschule.at
