Kreuzkirche
-
The first Protestant services in the valley were in 1925 in the clinic. Backer held in Riezlern-Schwende. The development of tourism has resulted in the need to provide constant support to a growing number of Protestant Christians. In 1952, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of the Kreuzkirche. After only one year of construction, this beautiful mountain church was built. The consecration took 1953, the Munich district dean, Oberkirchenrat Schabert before. In 1969, the parish and Mesnerhaus was grown. The rotunda with the broad tower fits harmoniously into the landscape. The cross with the baroque angels floating above the altar on either side comes from sculptor Schwarzkopf from Hindelang. The altar window in the form of a cup symbolizes human life. On the ground floor is a community room, which is also often used for extra-church life and for cultural purposes.
