Höhenprofil
This ski tour scores with a dreamy summit panorama and great deep powder slopes!
A simple tour with a strikingly beautiful view from a rather inconspicuous summit. The snow reliability in Gargellen is an ideal starting point for a ski tour in early winter. The wide slopes on the descent make every deep snow rider’s heart beat faster.
At the end of the route, a stop at the Pizzeria Barga is a must!

Directions
From Gargellen, the path briefly crosses the piste heading south. Below the hotels of Vergalda, it bends east-southeast into the Vegaldental (left valley). Always at the valley floor or very close, you ascend to the Vergaldaalpe (1,820m). Often, you have to climb over huge avalanche cones. In front of the alp, a mostly recognizable forestry road leads about 200 vertical meters higher to the southwest. Then you find your way heading south over the slightly pronounced hollow up to the saddle near the small lake (2,283m). From here, you climb the steep slopes to the ridge and soon reach the summit (watch out for wind slabs). Below the Palmataljoch, continue keeping left, passing under a small peak to the rather inconspicuous summit. From here, you have a great view towards Madrisa, Rotbühelspitze, and deep into the Silvretta.
A simple route aside from the danger of large wet-snow avalanches at the valley entrance. The Ritzenspitze lie in a wildlife sanctuary zone and skiing down is forbidden! The descent is on the same way as the ascent.
