Höhenprofil
The Hittisau Sensory Trail invites you to set out on a journey, to be mindful, to open your senses, to “go deep,” and to perceive your surroundings consciously.
Human senses are the gateway to one’s surroundings and the world around us. It is only through them that we are able to perceive the world and interact with it. Aristotle had already distinguished the five senses—sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch—and assigned them to the five sensory organs. Today, however, people often speak of a “sixth sense” or even a “seventh sense.” The “sixth sense” refers to all perceptions that cannot be registered by the usual five sensory organs—the “gut feeling.” The “7th sense” is an expression of the unconscious, intuition, and premonition.
A brochure about the Sensory Trail is available at the local tourist office.
