This themed trail conveys the unique natural environment of the Heuberg area in a playful way.

The big insect explorer adventure leads over the Upper high trail at Heuberg. On this nature explorer adventure with a “focus on insects,” the entire family gets exciting insights into the fascinating world of insects and the biodiversity in the Heuberg area.

The themed trail is accompanied by an explorer book with exciting puzzles about the natural areas in Kleinwalsertal. The explorer book including a research set is available for €8 at the tourist information in the Walserhaus in Hirschegg. Along the way, research stations, discreetly integrated information pillars in the landscape, offer useful tips for solving the tasks. The story about the marmot friends Burmi and Burmina and their “Insect Research Expedition” is complemented by an exciting audio play.

In addition to the insect explorer expedition at Heuberg, Burmi and Burmina also embark on a "Nature Explorer Adventure Schwarzwasserbach" and a "Nature Explorer Adventure Wildlife" in the Gemsteltal.
