    Scenic mountain path on mainly flattened hiking paths

    Starting point for this winter hike is the bus stop at Vitalhotel Linde, Schönenbühl. There a hiking piste leads to the mountain farms in Unterköhler. From there, you take a flattened hiking path to the Oberköhler plot of land and then you follow a forest path which leads you to the village square of Sulzberg (1,013 m). There you enjoy the endless views across the Bregenzerwald.

    On the way back, you pass the sports field in Buch, then take the hiking piste back to the Hotel Linde, which is located somewhat further down.

    Chances to stop off for a drink: Hotel Linde, Sulzberg Ochsen inn, Alpenblick inn and Adler inn in the center of the village

    Als “Dorf auf dem Berg” ist Sulzberg in Vorarlberg schon durch seine Lage eine Besonderheit. Außergewöhnlich ist die Pfarrkirche im Empire-Stil. Erbaut hat sie Alois Negrelli, der Planer des Suezkanals, in den Jahren 1828/29.

    From Vitalhotel Linde, Schönenbühl, a cleared agricultural path, or, if snow is plentiful, a hiking piste directly from Hotel Linde, leads to the mountain farms in Unterköhler: from there, you take a flattened hiking path to the Oberköhler plot of land at 985 m, then you follow a forest path to the approach road on the sunny side to Sulzberg, which you then follow on past the parish church to Sulzberg village square (1,013 m). Once you arrive at the village square, enjoy the endless views across the Bregenzerwald. On the way back, enjoy the fascinating view across the Rhine valley through to the Swiss mountains. On the way back, you pass the sports field in Buch, then take the hiking piste back to the Hotel Linde, which is located somewhat further down.
