Scenic hike in the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe at the foot of Piz Buin!
Find peace surrounded by the 3,000-meter peaks of the Silvretta mountain group – you can do this on the beautiful hike to the Green Summit, located at the foot of Piz Buin and near the Wiesbadener Hut. Be captivated up close by the impressive Piz Buin and get up close to the high alpine natural landscape of Montafon.
Recharge with a homemade Kaiserschmarrn or the savory bacon dumplings at the Wiesbadener Hut.

Directions
The path takes you along the turquoise Silvretta Lake, into the Ochsental, towards the Wiesbadener Hut. Throughout, you always have the spectacular Piz Buin in view, which at 3,312 meters is the highest mountain in Vorarlberg. After about 2 hours of walking, you reach the Wiesbadener Hut, where you can refresh yourself with regional and traditional dishes. Of course, it’s also worth considering a stopover at the Green Summit on the way back.
From the Wiesbadener Hut, the hiking trail continues towards the Green Summit, which lies at 2,579 meters.
Your return path leads you back along the same trail past the Wiesbadener Hut and back to the Silvretta Lake.

Just leave your car behind
The local buses operate throughout Montafon. The main lines run every half hour from Schruns station.

Arrival by train to Montafon
The Montafon railway runs hourly (sometimes every half hour) from Bludenz station. There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and Bregenz.

Approach:
Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to Partenen at the toll station for the Silvretta High Alpine Road. Via the Silvretta High Alpine Road you reach Vermuntsee and then continue to Silvretta Lake. (Toll required)
