Directions
After the start in Partenen at the valley station of the Tafamuntbahn, the route leads over the Motta settlement and then branches off onto a narrow forest trail with bottlenecks and switchbacks through the Zerresner Forest. The last 300 meters lead through the idyllic Maisäß landscape to the Alpstöbli mountain inn Tafamunt. After a total of 500 meters elevation gain, the exhausted participants are rewarded with a breathtaking mountain panorama.
*On race day, the start takes place on the meadow in front of the Kops I plant, before the last building of the Motta settlement the path goes through a private garden, which results in a difference to the route length (2.3 km) on hiking maps. The official race route on race day is 2.0 kilometers long.
