On snowshoes you explore the small village and learn some interesting facts about its history.
The legend of the “Gufelste” – the split stone
How do you draw boundaries in the mountains? The easiest way is along streams or along mountain ridges; then there is a clearly visible here and there. In the Silvretta, however, it sometimes required, at least according to the legend, lightning and thunder and thus a divine judgment to resolve the lengthy border disputes between the people from the Lower Engadine and the people from Montafon… (here you come to the whole legend)
Don't miss the legend around the Gufelste "Gespaltna Ste"!
