The Aquaweg makes visible how water-rich the region is and how versatile the life-giver from the mountains is used. From the Lünerseewerk in Latschau, it gently goes uphill to the Rasafeibach. The sunny-shady path runs along the foot of the Mittagspitze through forest and meadow. There are wonderful views of Schruns and the Hochjoch.

Montafon is blessed with water. When it became possible to harness it for energy, it also became a blessing for the region. Even in the Middle Ages, it powered mills of all kinds. At the end of the 19th century, the first hydroelectric power plant was built, converting flowing water energy into electrical power. This fundamentally changed the lives of the people of Montafon. The Aquaweg shows at several stations how water-rich the region is, how pure the drinking water is, and how versatile the life-giver from the mountains is used here.

A stop at the Bitschweil inn is a must.
