The Montafon Hut Circuit takes you from mountain hut to mountain hut in 13 stages across all three mountain ranges of the Montafon (Rätikon, Silvretta, Verwall).

This circular walking route takes you through the thrilling mountain world of the Montafon, offering insights into the valley’s diverse character. As you cross three mountain ranges, walkers can expect a highly varied landscape, flora and fauna. There are several options for breaking up the route, shortening it or walking only selected sections. The walk can also be done in the opposite direction.

Important: As this is a challenging tour, you should plan your daily stages carefully and find out in advance about opening times and places to stop for refreshments! Due to high demand, we recommend booking accommodation at the huts well in advance.

    This hike offers various facets of the Verwall. The first place to stop is the staffed Innerkapellalpe with alpine cheese dairy. Alpine products can be bought directly on site. The highlight is the beautiful view above the Innerkapell Alpe and at Schwarzsee. At the foot of the Hochjoch, you also pass the Herzsee. Dining options are available in Silbertal, Innerkapellalpe, and Seetalhüsli (only occasionally open).
