    A scenic winter hike that you can discover as an enjoyable route for yourself. At mid-height, you repeatedly have the chance to enjoy a fantastic view into the valley.

    The start of this route is at the Baroque Church Bartholomäberg. From here you first go uphill. A pleasantly ascending road leads you in the direction of Riederhof. You constantly have the opportunity to let your gaze wander into the valley. You can also spot the Rätikon mountain range with the mighty Drei Türme from afar on this route. With a good camera, you also have the chance to take excellent pictures from a distance of the well-known mountains Zimba, Sulzfluh, Drusenfluh as well as the aforementioned Drei Türme. A wonderful opportunity to admire the picturesque Rätikon with the beautiful Gauertal from the opposite side of the valley. This route is perfect for taking in impressions. You are moving on the sun balcony of Montafon, which means you get the most hours of sunshine in the whole Montafon on this route.

    Make this route an enjoyable experience. Use the seating options installed along the way and enjoy the view. The Baroque Church Bartholomäberg is the oldest church in Montafon and definitely worth a visit.

    Your route starts at the Baroque Church Bartholomäberg. Now follow the Roferweg up to Riederhof. Here you leave the paved road and turn right. From here you hike cross-country over a meadow path until you reach the paved Riederhofweg. Cross this and continue along the meadow path downhill. This leads you to the Panorama Road which you then follow to the right. From here it goes along the Panorama Road back to the Baroque Church Bartholomäberg.

    The regional buses run throughout Montafon. The main lines run every half hour from Schruns train station.

    Getting to Montafon by train

    From Bludenz station, the Montafonerbahn runs hourly (sometimes half-hourly). There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and from Bregenz.

    Approach:

    Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to St. Anton im Montafon. At St. Anton turn left (right at the train station) and follow the road to Bartholomäberg.
