Trail Running
Trailrunning route from Hirschegg to Mittelberg
-
Höhenprofil
Moderate trailrunning route from Hirschegg via the middle Höhenweg to Mittelberg and back via the Breitachweg.
This varied trailrunning route with several moderate uphills and downhills leads from Hirschegg down to the Breitachweg. Along the cool Breitachweg on fine gravel and without significant incline up to the height of the Hirschegg district Letze. There at the mineral spring, left uphill to Walserstraße. At the Hubertuslifts, a short, somewhat steeper uphill follows on an asphalted road towards Rohrweg. Past the Rohrsee onto a single trail between forest and meadow sections. At the height, there is a beautiful panoramic view into the Wilden- and Gemsteltal with the alpine peaks of these valleys. The Mittelberger Höhenweg then branches off onto a narrow, paved path. On this, a somewhat steeper descent to Mittelberg. From there, the route leads over the music pavilion to Bödmen and over the Breitachweg and Dürenboden back to the start of the trailrunning route.
This trailrunning route is suitable as a workout in the later afternoon on hot summer days; the route is then mostly already in the shade.
