Bike & Hike Saladinaspitze (2.238 m)
-
Höhenprofil
From the center of Schröcken, ride past the tourist office and the church along the municipal road. At a sharp left-hand curve, turn right and follow the wide gravel path uphill to Auenfeld.
Cross the Auenfeldsattel pass and head toward Oberlech. When you reach the first houses, follow the paved municipal road downhill until you reach the main road. There, turn right and ride into the center of Lech.
When you reach the village fountain, turn right toward Zug. At the fork in the road after the bridge, keep left.
Then follow the road past the toll booth through the Zugertal valley. After about an hour, you’ll reach a fork in the road. There, keep to the right and continue along the paved road toward Formarinsee.
At the bus turnaround, you can park your bike and continue on foot. After the barrier, keep left and follow the trail to the Freiburger Hütte. Once you reach the Freiburger Hütte, turn sharply left and follow the trail to the Saladinaspitze.
Once you reach the Saladinaspitze, you’ve earned a well-deserved break. Then, head back down the same trail you took on the way up. Once you reach the center of Lech, you can take the bike bus back from the Schloßkopf bus stop.
Note: The tour can also be started from Warth. From there, head through the Wolfegg district along the Alte Salzstraße to the Jägeralp-Express valley station. From there, the trail continues to the Salober. To the right of the Salober-Jet valley station, a wide gravel path leads uphill. From there, follow the trail to the Auenfeldsattel.
Important note: Bring a bike lock and lock up your bike.
