This short circular route in Gantschier is ideal for stretching your legs with the whole family. As a highlight, you have a great view of Gantschier and can make a short stop at Gauenstein Monastery.

On this circular route in Gantschier, starting at the church Gantschier (directly on the road with parking options), you are in the middle of the village. With a view of the Vandanser Steinwand, the Zimba proudly towers before you, known as the Matterhorn of Vorarlberg. Since the route doesn’t involve many altitude meters, it is easily doable for everyone and is ideal as a small family excursion. On the short circular route through Gantschier, the path leads you to Gauenstein Monastery and back along the Illweg to the starting point where you parked your car.

I can only warmly recommend a visit to Gauenstein Monastery. The historic building is truly a place for reflection.
