    THE challenge on a technically and physically demanding route at “Hike the Valley” for all experienced hikers. All information on registering for “Hike the Valley” can be found here.

    The Gold Trail of “Hike the Valley” is approximately 23 kilometers long and has an elevation gain of about 1,000 meters.

    For all ambitious and experienced hikers, this route is a personal challenge in the midst of the beautiful nature of the Kleinwalsertal valley. Inspired by the unique atmosphere of the event, experienced hikers can surpass themselves on this technically and physically demanding route and be proud of having conquered the royal route when they reach the finish line. The Gold Route runs in sections on an alpine trail and is aimed at experienced hikers. It leads over partially exposed sections and requires a head for heights and sure-footedness.

    After starting at the Walserhaus in Hirschegg, the route leads via Rohrweg and Schöntalweg up to the Heubergbahn mountain station and continues along the scenic Oberer Höhenweg. It then continues along the Ochsenhofer Köpfe and down into the Schwarzwassertal valley. The route leads through the Hirschegg district of Wäldele to the finish at the Walserhaus in Hirschegg.

    The route will not be continuously marked on the day of the event, 4 October 2025. Participants in ‘Hike the Valley’ are responsible for themselves and are on their own on the route.
