Two summit tours – Karhorn & Wartherhorn
-
Höhenprofil
A conditionally demanding but beautiful hike to the peaks of the Warther Horn and the Karhorn. This tour can be done in both directions without any problems.
The peaks of the Karhorn and the Warther Horn are geographically close together. And when the two peaks can be combined together with the Bürstegg to form a great mountain tour… perfect!
A visit to the Bodenalpe after an extended hike is the perfect end!

Directions
Start of the tour is the car park at the Bodenalpe. This point can also be reached by bus. After a steep start over an alpine meadow we continue on a forest road towards Bürstegg. Shortly before the last ascent to Bürstegg we follow the signs in the direction of Karhorn to the left and continue on a narrow path. We follow this path for about 30 minutes before we turn right and follow the signs to the Karhorn. The path soon becomes steeper again and we go up in serpentines to a small saddle. From here we can already see the summit of the Karhorn well and follow the narrow path further up, which leads us under the rock band of the summit upswing. From here it is another 50 minutes to the summit. This area is partly exposed and secured with ropes. Arrived at the summit, one can enjoy the view and rest in peace before following the same path again under the rock face. Now turn left and follow the signs to the Warther Horn, which can be reached in about 40 minutes without major difficulties. The second peak is reached, now it goes down towards Warth and Stefisalp-Express. Under this lift a path leads in the direction of Wannenkopf and Bürstegg. The view over to Biberkopf and Ruchtung Großer Widderstein is pure pleasure. Finally, a slightly wider and perfectly restored path leads from Wannenkopf to Bürstegg, a beautiful vantage point down to Lech. Shortly after, the circle closes and the last few metres are the same as at the beginning to the Bodenalpe.
