Höhenprofil
From the center of Schröcken, ride past the tourist office and the church along the municipal road. At a sharp left-hand curve, turn right and follow the wide gravel path uphill to Auenfeld.
Cross the Auenfeldsattel pass and head toward Oberlech. When you reach the first houses, follow the paved municipal road downhill until you reach the main road. There, turn right and ride into the center of Lech.
When you reach the village fountain, turn right toward Zug. At the fork in the road after the bridge, keep left.
Then follow the road past the toll booth through the Zugertal valley. After about an hour, you’ll reach a fork in the road.
Here, turn left uphill, passing the Alpe Dalaaser Staffel, until you reach the dam of Lake Spullersee. Follow a gravel road around the lake via the south-facing dam; from here, the trail climbs toward the Ravensburger Hütte.
After passing the Ravensburger Hütte, cross the stream to the left over a stone bridge; at the Alpe Brazer Staffel, continue uphill to the Stierlochjoch. From here, the trail descends on coarse gravel through switchbacks down to the Stierlochalpe. Follow the alpine trail downhill toward Zug.
At the fish pond in Zug, you’ll come to a paved road. Here, you’ll head uphill briefly once more and turn right onto the municipal road. From here, the route takes you through the center of Zug along the same path back to the starting point.
Note: The tour can also be started from Warth. From there, the route goes through the Wolfegg district along the Alte Salzstraße to the Jägeralp-Express valley station. From there, the trail continues to the Salober. To the right of the Salober-Express valley station, a wide gravel path leads uphill. At the fork in the trail, keep to the right toward Auenfeldsattel.
