    The Silvretta-Bielerhöhe offers trails for every taste. Cross-country skiing strengthens the cardiovascular system and shapes the figure. Freshly groomed trails, a fantastic winter panorama, and unique views of the surrounding mountain world.

    In Montafon, the cross-country ski trails can be used free of charge.

    Die Langlaufausrüstung kann beim Berggasthof & Hotel Piz Buin ausgeliehen werden. Zudem befinden sich dort Umkleidemöglichkeiten und Garderoben (Schließfächer) für Langläufer.

    The high trail starts at the Gasthof Piz Buin and passes the Barbara Chapel towards Vermuntsee. On the way back, you pass the Silvretta House and the route ends again at Gasthof Piz Buin.

    Just leave your car behind

    The local buses of the Montafonerbahn run throughout Montafon. The main lines run hourly from Schruns station.

    From Schruns station, you can take bus line 85 to Partenen. The stop is: “Bergbahnen“. From the bus stop, you can reach the valley station of the Vermuntbahn in five minutes on foot. You continue with the Vermuntbahn and the tunnel bus to reach the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe with the Silvretta lake.

    For the return journey

    With bus line 85, you get back from Partenen to Schruns station.

    Arrival by train

    From Bludenz station, the Montafonerbahn runs hourly (partly every half hour). There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and Bregenz.

    Approach:

    Coming from Bludenz, take the Bludenz/Montafon motorway exit and follow the L188 into Montafon to Partenen (Vermuntbahn).
