    Cross-country skiing with snow guarantee

    The journey to Silvretta-Bielerhöhe is already a special experience. First, take the Vermuntbahn from Partenen to Trominier (1,731 m). Then follows a spectacular ride in minibuses through tunnels and the winter high mountain landscape of the Silvretta to Silvretta-Bielerhöhe at 2,032 m. There, a breathtaking view opens up to a gigantic mountain world with the highest mountain in Vorarlberg, the Piz Buin (3,312 m), and the frozen Silvretta Lake.

    Silvretta-Bielerhöhe offers trails for every taste. Because cross-country skiing strengthens the cardiovascular system and shapes the figure. Freshly groomed trails, a dreamy winter panorama, and unique views of the surrounding mountain world.

    The cross-country ski trails in Montafon can be used free of charge.

    Just leave your car standing

    The local buses of the Montafonerbahn operate throughout Montafon. The main lines run hourly from Schruns station.

    From Schruns station, you can take bus line 85 to Partenen. The stop is “Bergbahnen.” From the bus stop, you can reach the valley station of the Vermuntbahn in five minutes on foot. You continue with the Vermuntbahn and the tunnel bus and reach Silvretta-Bielerhöhe with the Silvretta Lake.

    For the return trip

    With bus line 85, you can return from Partenen to Schruns station.

    Arrival by train

    The Montafonerbahn runs hourly (partially every half hour) from Bludenz station. There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and Bregenz.

    Coming from Bludenz, take the Bludenz/Montafon motorway exit and follow the L188 into Montafon to Partenen (Vermuntbahn).
