    If you love cross-country skiing in the sun, this route is perfect for you. It also offers a wide-ranging view on a clear trail and not a single road crossing. So an ideal trail to complete your laps in classic style or skating.

    Starting point:

    Either at Kaltenbrunnen train station or at the heating plant or Baumarkt Bömag.

    In Montafon, the cross-country skiing trails can be used free of charge.

  • Directions

    The large Landschrofen route starts at Kaltenbrunnen train station in Gantschier. From Kaltenbrunnen train station, follow the connecting trail downstream and you will reach the large route. The route leads downstream along the Montafonerbahn railway line to the heating plant. Along the upper fields, it goes back to the starting point. At the heating plant, you can switch to the small Landschrofen route.

    Just leave your car parked

    The regional buses of the Montafonerbahn operate throughout Montafon. The main lines run hourly from Schruns train station.

    From Schruns train station you can take the Montafonerbahn (train) to Kaltenbrunnen, Gantschier train station. Via a short section on the connecting trail towards Schruns, you reach the starting point of the large Landschrofen route.

    For the return journey

    With the Montafonerbahn you get back from Tschagguns train station to Schruns train station.

    Arrival by train

    The Montafonerbahn runs hourly (sometimes every half hour) from Bludenz train station. There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and Bregenz.
