    This trail runs through the district of Trantrauas and with 80 meters of elevation over 3.8 km is one of the more challenging trails in Montafon.

    In Montafon, the cross-country ski trails can be used free of charge.

    The small loop also starts at the fire station in Gaschurn (same as the large Trantrauas loop) and leads over Upper Trantrauas to below the Rifabecken. Via Lower Trantrauas you return to the fire station.

    Just leave your car standing

    The regional buses of the Montafonerbahn operate throughout Montafon. The main lines run hourly from Schruns station.

    From Schruns station you reach Gaschurn with bus line 85. The stop is: “Versettla Bahn“. From the bus stop, you can reach the start of the Kleine Trantrauas Runde within five minutes on foot.

    For the return trip

    With bus line 85 you can return from Gaschurn to Schruns station.

    Arrival by train

    The Montafonerbahn runs hourly (partly every half hour) from Bludenz station. There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and Bregenz.

    Approach:

    Coming from Bludenz, take the Bludenz/Montafon motorway exit and follow the L188 into Montafon until Gaschurn (Versettla Bahn).
