Kops – Breitspitz – Partenen

Directions

Over the Kops dam, follow a walking and alpine path gently downhill to the junction with the signpost “Breitspitze.” The hiking trail briefly passes over the Kopsalp, then follows a path with great views to Ballunspitze. The hiking trail goes over altitude levels past several lakes before the summit cross comes into view. From Breitspitze, continue right to Vallüla Alpe. The descent through the forest leads directly to the road to Partenen.

The regional buses run throughout the Montafon. The main lines depart every half hour from Schruns station.

Bus stop at the start/finish of the route: Bielerhöhe Silvrettasee / Line 650, change to Kops Gasthaus Zeinisjoch / Line 260

Arrival by train to Montafon

From Bludenz station the Montafonerbahn runs hourly (partly half-hourly). There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and from Bregenz.

Approach:

Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to Partenen to the toll station for the Silvretta High Alpine Road. Via the Silvretta High Alpine Road you then reach Vermuntsee and continue to Silvrettasee. (Toll road)
