Hiking Trail
High-altitude route (Bartholomäberg – Kristberg)
-
Höhenprofil
A fantastic high-altitude route on the sunny balcony of the Montafon. The scenery is stunning and the view overwhelming. You can look forward to plenty of moments of enjoyment on this route.
A wonderful route starting at the Baroque Church Bartholomäberg. Your route begins immediately with the most strenuous part. From the church uphill to the Fritzensee, the route takes you over varied sections. Initially on asphalt, you soon switch to a path and later to a beautiful meadow path. You pass the historic mine until you finally reach the Fritzensee. This idyllic lake invites you to dream and/or have a small snack. Then you continue on a pleasantly flowing high-altitude path towards Kristberg. Passing picturesque Maisäß settlements, you repeatedly have time to let your gaze wander down into the valley and over the surrounding mountain world. It is a breathtaking experience until you finally reach the Panoramagasthof Kristberg. Your route ends a few hundred meters after the Panoramagasthof Kristberg at the upper station of the Kristberg cable car.
After the route, you deserve a break. The wonderful sun terrace at the Panoramagasthof Kristberg invites you to refresh yourself with a view.

Directions
The route starts at the Baroque Church Bartholomäberg. Following the Roferweg uphill, you leave it after the 3rd hairpin for a shortcut to the left onto a path. After a few meters, the path leads you to the Obwaldweg. Follow it to the left and then immediately turn right at the junction. Just a few meters later, turn left again onto a path. Follow this path up to the historic mine. Along the way, you will cross the Roferweg once more. Following the meadow path, you then arrive at the historic mine by the beautifully situated Fritzensee. Follow the gravel road below the Fritzensee. This gravel road leads you directly toward Kristberg. After numerous small uphill and downhill sections, you eventually reach an asphalt road after a longer downhill stretch, which takes you uphill to the Panoramagasthof Kristberg. After about 250 meters, you reach your destination, the upper station of the Kristberg cable car.
