  • Directions

    The large circuit starts at Mountain Beach Recreation Park and follows the Illweg downstream along the valley to the mini golf course. There you cross the bridge and follow the road straight through the Trantrauas and Harzawald area to the Vermunt Plant or the valley station of the Vermunt cable car in Partenen. Past the Partenen outdoor pool and the Gufelste (split boulder) as well as over the golf course, it continues downstream to the toll station of the Silvretta High Alpine Road. Cross the road at the toll station and follow the path opposite further to Bellamaisäß. It continues uphill. Through the forest area, you reach the Lifinar area. Via the Partenen town center you return to the valley station of the Vermunt cable car. Head back towards Gaschurn. Along the Rifa Basin you then reach the Rifa area some time later. Over the Kilkner Forest, which is slightly above Gaschurn, you then reach the Gaschurn town center. Then it goes a bit uphill again via Inner or Outer Gosta to the adventure playground in the Winkel area. Over the Vand and Außerbach you then reach the Ill bike path. From here, you reach the starting point again a few minutes later.

    Just leave your car standing

    The regional buses of the Montafonerbahn run throughout Montafon. The main lines depart hourly from Schruns station.

    From Schruns station, you can take bus line 85 to Gaschurn. The stop is: “Explorer Hotel Montafon”. Through the underpass, you reach the Mountain Beach Recreation Park.

    For the return trip

    Bus line 85 takes you back from Gaschurn to Schruns station.

    Arrival by train

    From Bludenz station, the Montafonerbahn runs hourly (sometimes every half hour). There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) or Bregenz.

    Approach:

    Coming from Bludenz, take the Bludenz/Montafon motorway exit and follow the L188 into Montafon until Gaschurn.
