    Medium-length route with a steady ascent along the Vergaldabach to the Vergaldaalpe.

    Vergaldaalpe:

    The Vergaldaalpe is open from late July/early July until early September. The opening times are highly weather-dependent. The traditional “Sura Kees” is produced on the Montafon Alps. The cheese has a low fat content and little cholesterol and contains a lot of high-quality protein.

  • Directions

    The route starts at the Bergbahnen Gargellen parking lot and leads a little above the valley station at the signpost “Suggadinweg” to the left. Follow the signpost and follow the arrow towards Vergalda and Vergaldaalpe. Along the Vergaldabach, it goes up to the district Vergalda. Slightly elevated with a beautiful view, the district of Gargellen is presented. Turn left into the Vergaldatal. Along the wide path and the Vergaldabach, you will reach the Vergaldaalpe after about an hour. After a refreshment, return by the same way.
