    Beautiful and safe hiking trail to the Wiegensee and Verwall European protected area. Numerous great viewpoints also offer a wonderful view of the mountain world of the Silvretta.

    On the way from Gaschurn to Galtür, visitors to the border area between Montafon and Paznaun encounter numerous documents of historical and contemporary spatial culture as well as natural-spatial peculiarities. Developments can be traced and impressively reflect the economic and social changes of recent centuries. The highlights of this hike are the Maiensäße Tafamunt, the Wiegensee, the curved dam of the Kopssee, the Alpe Verbella, the Scheidseen near the Heilbronner Hut, and the Zeinisjoch. There are also repeatedly scenic views over the Silvretta from the viewpoint at the Wiegensee and from the Heilbronner Hut into the Schönverwall as well as from the Zeinisjoch into the Paznaun Valley.

    Silvretta high alpine road: panoramic road between Partenen and Galtür/Tyrol, toll road, only accessible in summer (depending on snow and weather conditions approximately from June to October).

    Regarding the Gaschurn - Partenen - Galtür landscape trail, a book with many background informations has also been published. The book "On the Trail of the Landscape" by Maria-Anna Moosbrugger is available in bookshops as well as in the Montafon tourist information centers. ISBN 3-902249-91-9 Information brochures are also available at the tourist information centers. Due to high demand at the huts, we recommend reserving sleeping places directly at the huts early enough.

    Day 2: New Heilbronner Hut – Verbellaalpe – Zeinisjochhaus (1,822 m) – Zeinisjoch (1,842 m) – Galtür town center (1,550 m)
    Walking time: approx. 4 hours

    Without the detour to the Heilbronner Hut, the landscape trail can also be completed in one day. In this case, we recommend using the Tafamuntbahn.
